1 minute with Kyle from Anti-Wisdom

25 May 2022 Meet the family

MindLabs is not only an association with dreams and ambitions, we are also a cooperation of many different parties.  One big family, with members and partners we are all very proud of. In the section 'Meet the family; 1 minute with...' everybody takes turns to introduce themselves. Very briefly, because the family is big. What are they doing with their company and why do they do what they do? You can read all about it here. In this edition: Kyle Peeters, management executive of Anti-Wisdom.

Kyle, to get right to the point: what is Anti-Wisdom's core business?
Summarized in one sentence: we make games. Anti-Wisdom consists of 3 guys, Remco Scheffers, Thijs Spapens and myself, who love nothing more than programming. We hope to release our first game this summer; a digital game with a dark, horror-like atmosphere. And that includes a 3D maze in the style of Escher. The prototype is almost ready. We also have a YouTube channel on which Luuk van der Steen and Daan van Eijl can be seen. So our total team consists of 5 fanatic gamers!

What is your dot on the horizon?
The most important thing is to enjoy doing business and programming. Although we have many plans. In 5 years we hope to have released several games. The game we are working on now is really focused on leisure. We are also interested in developing 'serious games' in collaboration with other MindLabs partners. For education or healthcare, for example.

Out of ambition? Idealism? Or passion?
Ever since I was a kid I have been creating. At a young age, it was Lego buildings. Later on it was writing stories. And now I build games with my friends. During my second job I noticed that I always had to justify myself for certain choices. Not my thing. That I would eventually turn into an entrepreneur was clear to me pretty quickly. That's how my Anti-Wisdom colleagues feel too!

In what ways are you connected to MindLabs?
One of our teachers pointed us to MindLabs. "That's something for you guys," he said. And now Anti-Wisdom is connected to the ecosystem as a start-up.

And how long have you been in the family?
On December 16, 2021, we signed our name. So about six months now.

In this collaboration, what is the holy grail as far as you are concerned?
MindLabs is going to help us through their network. Anti-Wisdom is a start-up. We are not very experienced as entrepreneurs yet. We hope to learn more from the MindLabs partners about management, for example. Because what is a good way to run a project now? In turn, other MindLabs members can make use of our programming skills.

And what does it bring you in the meantime?
It's already bringing us a lot. For example, I have an appointment scheduled with Thijs from IoTIdea, also a MindLabs partner. We are going to see if we can possibly rent an office space together.
