Many Dutch people now have an emergency kit at home containing essential items such as water, non-perishable food and a battery-powered radio. This is in preparation for emergencies such as power cuts, disasters or extreme weather conditions. Recently, there has also been growing interest in digital resilience. How can we “arm” ourselves against the growing amount of disinformation that is being used deliberately to disrupt society?

Our discussion leaders are Danielle Arets  (lecturer in journalism at Fontys) and Nick van Apeldoorn (coordinator at BUAS of the multi-year research project on digital realities). They will discuss this topic with  Vincent Leemans, deputy editor-in-chief of Brabant at DPG Media, and Jelle Postma, director of the Justice for Prosperity Foundation. This foundation investigates, exposes and helps prevent subversive influences.
