During this inspiring festival, we will bring together professionals from the healthcare and welfare sectors to explore the practical applications of AI.
Be inspired, discover practical applications, engage with experts and exchange experiences with other professionals.
Keynotes
The event will feature several keynote speeches by
Merwin de Jongh, founder of Repetive.ai, OnMe and The Tailors.
He will discuss how AI agents are currently transforming the world.
In addition, Jeroen van Bommel, Director of Operations & Innovation at Van Neynsel and founder of Bureau ACT (Digitaal op koers), will discuss how AI can be deployed as a colleague: a solution to labour shortages or, conversely, a new management challenge?
Workshops
Visitors can choose from various interactive workshops, including “AI for everyone: from a vague concept to an immediately applicable benefit”. In this workshop, AI is made tangible, understandable and immediately usable. No technical jargon, but concrete real-world applications from Van Neynsel, such as AI and digitalisation in HR processes, preparing for absence, job interview or performance review meetings with AI, and decision-making with AI. Participants will discover how they can start today with small steps that have an immediate impact on their work. The aim is to turn curiosity into ownership, so that AI ceases to be a distant concept and becomes a practical tool in daily practice.
There is also a workshop on health-equitable AI. In this inspiring session, Dr Mariëlle Rosendaal, lecturer and researcher at the People and Technology research group, will guide participants through the characteristics of health-equitable AI. How can you apply this and how do you get started?
Expertmeetings
Are you already working with AI and do you have questions? Or would you like to explore a specific theme in more depth? During small-scale expert meetings, you can discuss practical questions, opportunities and challenges surrounding AI. The expert meetings are led by experts from Avans and Fontys and focus on technology, legal issues, social impact and ethical themes.
Festival area with good practices
In addition, there is a continuous festival area featuring inspiring real-world examples from organisations already using AI in healthcare and welfare. Discover innovative applications, demonstrations, inspiring stands and practical experiences.
Who can attend?
The AI Best Practice Festival is intended for anyone in healthcare and welfare who is curious about AI, wants to discover what AI can offer, or is already actively working with AI applications.
