Let's get right down to business: What's the core business of Genius Voice? 
We develop digital assistants; robots that speak via text or speech, for customer service departments, among others. Our personalised building kits are mainly suitable for companies that fall in the spectrum right below the largest companies in the Netherlands. Our products help them work much more efficiently. After all, the smarter the chat or voicebot, the fewer requests a company will receive. This saves them a lot of time and manpower. And the customer is helped faster. 

Motivated by ambition? Idealism? Or passion?
Motivated by an ambition to make people's lives easier. To achieve that, we need to be able to make exactly what we want to make. We once started with a voicebot for smart speakers. Because using an application is simply easier than typing. But we reached the limits of what was possible because we had to deal with the constraints of large platforms. And so we have developed an infrastructure that integrates existing technologies to create the perfect digital conversation. Because we now offer that possibility, entrepreneurs no longer have to jump through all the hoops that the big players have devised with their platforms. We help them with customisation.  
 
All three of us - my co-founders Dylan and Jason and myself - grew up with parents who had smaller businesses. That means that we are not into the corporate mode of thinking. We would fall straight to sleep if we worked purely on cost savings. We would much rather be part of a process. By developing smoother chatbots, for example. By letting children talk to historical figures. Or by using our technology to facilitate the use of voice actors for a more in-depth and less boring conversation. We like to think creatively! 

How are you connected to MindLabs?
We are now a junior partner of MindLabs. 

And how long have you been in the family?
Since November. Including the messy month of December, so not that long really. 

What do you consider to be the holy grail in this kind of cooperation?
We want to keep generating information. This is very important for us and for what we do. If you can get into such a hothouse atmosphere at MindLabs, with people who have been around longer and know the market... Joining this cooperation was really a no brainer for us. 

And what do you gain from it in the meantime?
Product improvement. Because this will help us continue refining. In principle, improvements are being made every day.
